Get to know me: Laura Sima, Real Estate Advisor

This is where I come in. I am Laura the RealtorⓇ now, but my journey to get here was unique. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I have had the honor of caring for children and their families during what was often the most traumatic, stressful time of their lives as a pediatric intensive care nurse. Because of this, I gained a tremendous perspective on life and have learned how gratitude and passion can change everything.
My introduction to real estate started in 2016 when my husband and I purchased our first home in St. Paul. We have since fully renovated two personal homes, where I developed extensive experience in home renovations and interior design. During that time, I also started and operated my own interior design business in which I worked with a variety of clients and project types. Through all of that, I developed a passion for real estate and an entrepreneurial spirit. After much consideration, I made the decision to follow this passion and phase out of healthcare. Being a licensed real estate advisor allows me to combine the best of both professions: I can continue caring for people (in a slightly less stressful environment!) while working in an industry that I truly love.
Outside of real estate and my own home renovations, I love traveling, downhill skiing, exercising, my two dogs and cat, spending quality time with friends, family, my husband & infant son, and a good Cabernet Sauvignon. I’m born and raised in Minnesota and although I sometimes dream of living in the mountains, I truly love this state and the seasons and geography that come with it.
